NCUIH will be hosting a series of free board training webinars for Urban Indian Health Organization Executive Directors, their Board members, and other leadership. This multi-session training will be a practical, interactive program that will provide the basics – the roles and responsibilities of a health center board of directors – while discussing and practicing the application (how to do it) implications. The focus will be on not only “doing the right things” (compliance) but also “doing them right” (performance).

Mr. Archuleta is a consultant and former health care executive from the Indian Health Service. He has extensive experience working with boards at the facility, governance, and executive level. He will engage current and potential board members on how to be effective board trustees of urban Indian healthcare delivery systems. Adam is also on the Board of Directors for Villa Therese Catholic Clinic and tribal utility boards.
John Meeth, DDS, MPH has 39 years of extensive experience in Indian Country as a clinician, area consultant and executive leader in the Indian Health Service, working at the facility and area levels in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and South Dakota, partnering with Tribal Leaders, Tribal Health Boards, Urban Programs and state Medicaid Programs as a regional consultant and IHS administrator. Dr Meeth holds a Dental Degree from Ohio State, a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, a certificate in Patient Safety and prior certification in health care compliance.
