The conference provides a vital platform for Urban Indian Organizations, health care professionals, policymakers, community leaders, and advocates to come together and discuss critical issues related to urban Indian health.

Call For Proposal and Poster Sessions

The National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH) is accepting proposals from all American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) serving organizations, with a priority for Urban Indian Organizations (UIOs), to present their capacity-building best practices, successes, and innovations at our 2026  annual conference. Sessions will occur on April 28 or 29 between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET.

Interested individuals and organizations may request to present during one of the following options:

  1. Concurrent 40-minute break-out session
  2. Poster presentation at poster session during conference reception
  3. 15-minute lightning presentations to share best practices

Selected proposal presenters will receive a reduced registration to attend the conference.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will registration open?
Registration for the 2026 NCUIH Annual Conference will open early in 2026. Sign up for the NCUIH newsletter to be one of the first to know!

Will there be an opportunity to register on-site?
There is no option to register on-site.

Do presenters need to register?
All presenters must register for the conference. Individual presenters are responsible for any costs associated with attending the NCUIH Annual Conference, including registration.

Does NCUIH offer group registration?
One person can register multiple people at one time. NCUIH is not offering a group registration discount for the NCUIH 2026 Annual Conference.

What methods of payment are accepted?
NCUIH accepts American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa, and checks as forms of payment.

How do I pay by check?
If you prefer to pay by check, please select the “pay by check” option when registering. Make checks payable to the National Council of Urban Indian Health and mail them to NCUIH, 712 H St NE, #5030, Washington, DC 20002. Please email conference@ncuih.org to notify us when you mail your registration check. Your registration will remain incomplete until payment is confirmed.

What is NCUIH’s cancellation, refund, and change policy?
Conference registration can be canceled approximately six weeks before the conference and is refundable minus credit card fees. Cancellations after this time will not be refunded, but registration may be transferred to another individual. Specific dates will be available closer to the event. Email conference@ncuih.org to cancel or transfer registration.
