Upcoming Events (Bi-Weekly on Fridays from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM EDT)

Session 5: FEMA Prep Call

May 29, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

For the first time, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be meeting exclusively with Urban Indian Organization leaders on May 29 at 3:00 PM. This will be a special prep call for UIOs.

FEMA is one of the major operational components that make up the Department of Homeland Security, which is facilitating a whole-of-government response in confronting COVID-19, keeping Americans safe, and helping detect and slow the spread of the virus. Part of the challenge of getting needed resources is knowing where to look. While you likely know HHS and its agencies inside and out, you are probably largely unfamiliar with FEMA’s programs, structure, and authority.

Email events@NCUIH.org for call information.
