The NCUIH Youth Advisory Council is at the forefront of a movement to promote resilience in AI/AN youth. We would like to invite you to join our inaugural Youth Convening to learn how to become an Indigi-Wellness Champion. Meet Adon
Hello, my name is Adon Vazquez and I am an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians from North Carolina. I am a Sophomore at Wayne State University and I have strong commitment when comes to supporting naitve youth.  If you are looking to hear how you can be a part of this national network, join us on August 6 from 3pm – 5pm.

Meet Benjamin
Osiyo, my name is Benjamin Sandecki and I am a tribal member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.  The Youth Council and social marketing campaign grants me the opportunity to advocate for Native issues while forging techniques to create resiliency among the Native American youth population.To gain the resources and tools to overcome challenges and be resilient in your own ways, please participate in the NCUIH Youth Councils National Virtual Native Youth Convening on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 at 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM EST.

An Indigi-Wellness Champion is:
American Indian and Alaska Native youth that embraces their indigeneity, lets their culture be the armor that protects them and builds/promotes resilience to empowering future generations.

Join us for the convening on August 6 to learn how to become an Indigi-Wellness Champion!

All AI/AN youth and allies across Indian Country are invited to participate in this free event.

  • Who: All AI/AN youth and allies across Indian Country.
  • What: A virtual convening of AI/AN youth led by the NCUIH Youth Advisory Council.
