Objectives:

Substance use disorder (SUD) and Opiate Use Disorder (OUD) are growing problems that disproportionately occur among American Indians/Alaska Natives (AI/AN). In a 2015 national survey, AI/ANs at a rate of 9.7% had the highest prevalence of any group meeting diagnostic criteria for a substance use disorder (SUD) in the past year among persons aged 12 years or older. In response to this public health challenge, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) has emerged as a therapeutic and clinical approach to address the issue of addiction
